Domino's Pizza in Sumner recently learned about Supported Employment and were excited to hire through Vadis. Both the General Manager and assistant manager are incredible natural supports and help their new employee, Michael, learn and grow in his position.
Michael had a different job prior to the pandemic, but his employer wasn't able to bring him back, so Vadis helped him find a new job in August - working for Domino's.
He is a delivery driver, working 12-15 hours a week. He is learning how to correctly label pizza boxes, learn which menu items go in which specific boxes, use the touch screen to sign in and out for deliveries, and use the high tech Domino’s app. There is a lot to remember and to learn, but Michael is doing great! His goal is to work even more hours per week once he has mastered all the new tasks.
