Vadis in Wenatchee

As an agency, Vadis has a strong belief in training, networking and sharing knowledge. This belief is the basis for our success at placing individuals with disabilities in the right jobs, finding employer partners and developing stronger skill sets among our staff.

Each year, we participate in a number of trainings with a focus on getting better at the work we do. One of our favorite events is The Community Summit hosted by the Developmental Disabilities Administration of Washington State. This conference offers a wide variety of trainings, workshops and skill building sessions, and brings in teams from agencies all over the state of Washington.

The Community Summit has dual benefits to Vadis. First, it allows us to learn new skills from experts in the disability employment field. Even more important, it also allows individuals from multiple Vadis teams to explore ideas with each other. Networking within our own agency opens the door for our staff to learn from each other and develop together. When so much of our work is out in the community, interacting with each other can be a challenge. Developing extended teams within the agency helps to keep us fresh and connected!
